My carnivorous plants

It's been a while since I posted here. I've come a long way since that first poor dead Darlingtonia.

Wanted to share some of my carnivorous plants pics. Mostly nepenthes (tropical pitcher plants) since those are my favorites. I keep some of my nepenths as house plants, some outdoors and some in terrariums.

N. bicalcarata Sarawak pitcher detail

First is the Nepenthes bicalcarata. The fanged nepenthes. This is a true lowlander needing warm nights.

Sarracenia Dana's Delight 01

Sarracenia Dana's Delight.

B-52 flytraps have grown

B-52 Venus Flytrap. This is the largest cultivar. That's a 3 inch square pot it is in. Lots more carnivores behind the cut.

Sarracenia Dana's Delight w/ bug

Detail of one of the Dana's Delight pitchers. Sarracenias are North American pitcher plants. They grow in bogs in full sunlight.

Another Nepenthes truncata D

Nepenthes truncata D. Truncatas eventually get huge. They can produce pitchers big enough to swallow a 2 liter Coke bottle. I can't want for mine to get huge. But they are very slow growing plants so it may be a few years before they become bottle eaters. This one is special because it can make red or orange pitchers instead of the typical green.

N. (vent x sib) x trusmadiensis pitcher

This is the pitcher of a hybrid N. (ventricosa x sibuyaneneis) x trusmadiensis.

New yellow pitcher

Another of its beautiful pitchers.

Mixed nepenthes

My old tank set up for my 20 gallon. I have since made major changes. Will update that soon.

Mist from humidifer

Mist coming down. I keep the tank between 70-90% humidity.

Humid tank

Misty tank.

My pretty nepenthes kitchen window 1

And my kitchen window. I have gotten one more hanging basket for the window since this photo. Hope you enjoyed this.
